As of August 2008, Karing Angels International partnered with Little Miracles International to offer Bulgaria as another option for adoptive families. Our main goal is to find loving families for these beautiful children. Being Hague accredited by the COA, Karing Angels is able to place children from this Hague convention country.

Married couples and single women only, 25 years and up, are eligible to apply. U.S. Immigration requirements must be met in addition to the necessary documents needed for the dossier and home study. Our knowledgeable staff will walk you through the entire process. To secure a U.S. Visa for the adoptive child, the I-800A application must be completed and submitted along with a completed home study.

The children are placed on a centralized data bank and released for referral by the Ministry of Justice (MOJ). Presently the wait for referral is 1 to 1.5 years after registration of the dossier with the MOJ.

At time of referral, you will receive photos, medical and in most cases a video of the child. We stress that you have an International Physician review everything you receive. We will provide you with a list of specialists across the USA or you can use the physician of your choice.

The children reside in orphanages in various regions. When you travel for your child, attorneys or coordinators will assist you. The ethnicity of most of the available children is Bulgarian; however the children are of mixed ancestry. Many of these children have an olive complexion, brown eyes and dark brown or black hair. Caucasian children are also available. Families may not request the ethnic background. Children eligible for adoption are ages one and up.

Two trips are required. On the first trip, a family will travel to meet with the child and will accept the referral in person. Length of stay in country would be approximately 3 to 6 days. After the adoption is completed overseas, the family travels back for the second trip to bring home the child. The length of time in country is usually less than one week. The approximate timeframe to bring home your child can range from 4 to 6 months from time of referral. These time lines can change due to circumstances out of our control.

Fees for the program are paid in increments. Application, registration, agency and commitment fees are non-refundable. Fees are paid in US Dollars but converted into Euros. All fees and payment schedules are outlined in our fee schedule and contract.

The child will return home on an IR-3 Visa and be an automatic US Citizen. We are currently seeking families who wish to open their hearts to an orphan child from Bulgaria.
